Thank you for choosing Pushpika De Silva Jewellery. We take pride in the quality and craftsmanship of every piece we create. If, for any reason, you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, we are here to help within the guidelines below.
1. Return Period
We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.
To be eligible for a return, you must first contact us within this period and receive confirmation from our team.
2. Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be in the same condition that you received it.
- It must be unworn, unused, and undamaged.
- All tags, certificates, and accessories must be included.
- The item must be returned in its original packaging (jewellery boxes, pouches, etc.).
- You must have the receipt or proof of purchase.
Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.
3. Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Items
Certain items cannot be returned, including:
- Custom, bespoke, or personalized jewellery (including pieces made or modified on special request).
- Engraved, resized, or altered items requested by the customer.
- Final sale / clearance items, unless they are defective or damaged on arrival.
- Gift cards.

4. How to Start a Return

- Photos if the item is damaged or defective
If your return is accepted, we will:
- Provide you with return instructions, and

Items sent back without prior approval will not be processed.
5. Damages & Issues
Please inspect your order immediately upon delivery and contact us right away if:
- The item is defective,
- The item is damaged, or
- You receive the wrong item.
This allows us to evaluate the issue and arrange a replacement, repair, or refund where appropriate.
6. Exchanges
We generally offer exchanges only for defective or damaged items, or where an incorrect product has been supplied.
In most other cases, the fastest way to get what you want is to:
- Submit a return request for the original item.
- Once the return is accepted and processed, place a new order for the desired item.
If you believe your situation requires a direct exchange, please contact us and we will advise based on the item and availability.
7. Shipping Returns
Unless otherwise agreed:
- You will be responsible for paying your own shipping costs for returning your item.
- Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, any return shipping or handling costs (where applicable) may be deducted from your refund.
- For high-value jewellery, we strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service.
If the return is due to a confirmed defect, damage, or error on our part, we may cover or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs, at our discretion.
8. Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected:
- We will notify you via email that we have received your return.
- We will let you know if your refund has been approved or rejected based on the condition and eligibility of the item.
- If approved, we will process your refund to your original method of payment within 10 business days.
Please note:
- Your bank or credit card provider may take additional time to post the refunded amount to your account.
9. Late or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund after we have confirmed its approval and processing:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
- Contact your bank, as there is often a processing period before a refund is visible.

10. European Union – 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If your order is being shipped into the European Union, you are entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period under EU consumer protection laws.
This means that you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without justification.
To qualify:
- The item must be in the same condition that you received it.
- It must be unworn or unused, with tags, and in the original packaging.
- You will need the receipt or proof of purchase.
This EU cooling-off period does not apply to:
- Custom or personalized items, or
- Items that have been used, damaged, or altered.
